The course program comprising two successive weeks addresses a comprehensive syllabus.
Week 1 covers the basic principles of TOFD theory and data acquisition with a level 1 certification exam held on the last day.
For those who wish to advance onto data analysis week 2 covers advanced data analysis and technique writing addressing joint types thicknesses and material variations. This second week finishes with a level 2 certification exam.
Lavender International are able to provide certification exams in accordance with EN473 and ISO9712 using the PCN exam scheme or alternatively we can provide a certification exam to an SNT-TC-1A employer written practice.
PCN allow the exams to be sat without prior experience, although this is beneficial, but certification will be held on file and released after subsequent work experience is authenticated. This allows for training and examinations at one visit whilst allowing the candidate to obtain experience at a later date.
PCN exam candidates must hold a level 2 Manual UT in welds as entry eligibility for the class in accordance with the certification requirements.
