Job Summary:The Sales Engineer provides technical sales support and product support to sales representatives and customers in all phases of the sales process. In addition to supporting the sales team and customers, the sales engineer will assist the product management team by providing technical and market intelligence during all phases of the product life cycle.
Job Responsibilities:
·Provide technical sales support and product support to sales representatives and customers in all phases of the sales process
·Assist the product management team by providing technical and market intelligence during all phases of the product life cycle
·Provide technical sales support to Sales representative, customers, and in-house staff
·Assist in competitive analysis of product offerings and market trends
·Identify customer needs and sales opportunities to maximize and grow sales
·Support the product development team during customer evaluations and tests
·Write technical specifications during the proposal process
·Understand the technical aspects of the product and the customer's application and use of the product
·Evaluate customer specifications during the proposal process
·Conduct training programs for customers, sales staff, and in-house staff
·Provide day-to-day technical information for leads, quotes, and orders
·Provide applications training for customers, sales staff, and in-house personnel
·Travel to customer sites for evaluations and testing within theUnited States,Canada, andLatin America
Anforderungen
·Excellent written and verbal skills are required
·Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet critical deadlines
·Strong analytical skills
·Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects
·Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
·High proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required as well as learn and use new business and technical software
·BS mechanical or electrical engineering degree preferred
·0 - 2 years experience in a technical sales support role.
