There is a lot of public information available on phased arrays.
1. Olympus NDT has written two books and a booklet on phased arrays. Check our web site, www.olympusndt.com under books. One is an advanced book, one an introduction, and the booklet is for field use.
2. The ONDT web site also has information articles on phased arrays, which would work well to start you off.
3. There are many published papers in both conferences and NDT journals on phased arrays.
4. The ASNT handbook has a section on phased arrays.
5. Lastly, try www.ndt.net for general articles and search for "phased arrays".
