Under minimal supervision, the Service Technician
will inspect, troubleshoot, service and repair sophisticated microelectronic and complex optical - mechanical equipment. Remote Visual Inspection and High Speed Video products. Reports directly to the Technical Service Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
· Inspect, troubleshoot, service and repairsophisticated microelectronic and mechanical equipment. Identify root cause of failure modes in a systematic manner.
· Responsible for ensuring the timely repair of equipment while meeting high quality standards
· Use formal test procedures and service software to ensure that repaired products meet factory performance and quality specifications.
· Enter equipment data into the Netsuite service database to ensure accurate recording of all repairs.
Requirements
·Must be able to read and comprehend standard Engineering documentation, such as: schematics, BOM's, test procedures, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.
· Must be able to effectively use the following electronic test equipment: digital oscilloscope, multi-meter, network analyzer, power supply, PC diagnostic tools.
· Excel in fast paced environment, ability to multi-task and work / meet shipping deadlines
· Must have the ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems to the board level.
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent attention to detail - Ability to multi-task
numerous customer repairs through to completion.
· Associates degree in electronics or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
· 5 years experience related to the repair of intricate mechanical systems, optical-mechanical and microelectronic equipment.
· Experience troubleshooting down to the board level RF analog receivers and microprocessor based instruments.· Experience with installation and repair of fiber optic
technology and rigid bore scopes
