I'm not sure I really understand the question ... "rebuild card from this homepage" ... I download the OmniScan MX file to a folder on my hard-drive, then connect the Flash Card reader via USB, and the execute the file.

It is well advisable to backup your "user" files separately, before running the new software update. I've only had one instance of troubles, and I have every released version since 1.0 days, saved in folders on my PC. The new software installs very well from my experiences. Someone should be able to talk you through a clean update if that's what you need.

The main thing is, if you have Setup files, Images, Custom files saved on your OmniScan MX, you will need to copy those off to your hard-drive BEFORE you update - otherwise, the program tells you it will delete all files and start fresh.

Speaking on memory cards, I see it is getting harder and harder to find new CompactFlash memory cards. Is there an alternative? I have seen adapters for different formats, for example the now widely available SD card format. Can an adapter be used on the Omniscan MX series so one can plug a SD card?

Mr. Marka,

It is not impossible that there is a compatible SD card adaptor to fit into the OmniScan CF card plug. However, we currently don’t sell this accessory and we can’t guarantee the compatibility.
If you have one propose to us, we can try to buy one and test it for you.

Best Regards

Thank you.

Do you have one with you?
If yes, didn’t you dry it?
There is no danger to try it one your side. If it works, find.
If no, it is a question of driver compatibility with windows CE.

Please, let me know you have one and if it works.

If no, we will purchase one to test.

Thanks again
