Level I: Basic Ultrasonic Theory and Techniques
This is a comprehensive course for individuals with little or no experience in ultrasonic testing, as well as a refresher course for individuals who need to brush up on ultrasonics. Although introductory, the course offers
in-depth coverage of ultrasonic theory and instrument operation on the latest digital flaw detectors. Through lecture and laboratory exercises, students gain an understanding of technical principles and test procedures.

Level II: Ultrasonic Inspections
This is an advanced course covering ultrasonic inspection of a wide variety of product forms. Students participate in laboratory exercises allowing them to identify waveform characteristics of various material defects. In
addition, students are trained to inspect according to applicable codes and specifications, and learn to develop procedures for their own in-house applications. Level I (Basic Ultrasonic Theory and Techniques) is recommended as
a prerequisite for this course.

Advanced Detection and Sizing
This course allows the student to learn ultrasonic examination techniques for the detection of flaws in materials susceptible to stress corrosion cracking and other forms of fatigue failure. The course includes shear and
longitudinal wave techniques for detection, characterization, and sizing of intergranular or transgranular stress corrosion cracks and fatigue type cracks. This course is designed for Level II and III and NDE management
personnel.
